Late Night with David Letterman, Michael Jordan appearance, 1986. MJ’s first words as he enters:

“I have one thing to say… I see Addidas shoes on. WHY??” “

“Oh I thought I was Patrick Ewing, you was wearing Adidas today”

And then then best line:

“Why wouldn’t the NBA let you wear this shoe? What rule does it violate?”

“It doesn’t have any white in it.”

“Well neither does the NBA.”
