pile: So one day after we call out TwitVid for stealing our design, they redesigned again… with a look that looks even MORE like Vimeo. Have you no shame sir? Beyond the ethical/legal considerations around stealing a design, the lack of differentiation is just moronic.  You’re in the same space as Vimeo, but have a decidedly different value proposition.  Making yourself look like Vimeo is not only wholly unoriginal (although I will award taste points for at least copying a good-looking site), it’s tremendously bad for business, as it conceals some of the strongest arguments for using Twitvid and leaves you stuck in the wake of an entrenched competitor. Unoriginal is bad.  Unoriginal and utterly lacking strategic vision is unforgivable. But then again, I would expect no less from anybody who puts “twit” in their brand.  Go ahead and get that “FOLLOWER” tattoo on your forehead while you’re at it. [via]
